The smaller and more portable MX Anywhere 2S, which retails for £80/$80 (buy here), isn’t quite as sophisticated, but still sports the same Darkfield sensor and improved battery life as its bigger brother. I'm glad to hear that the MX Master is at least better than the Performance MX. I tried out a Performance MX when those came out, but it was horrible. It's almost 10 years old at this point, and I'm dreading the day that it finally dies. It outlasted not one, but TWO Performance MX's that succumbed to click death.Īt least they're revising the MX Master and keeping it alive instead of screwing with it, so that's a decent sign.Īlso, why bother using Flow when there's Synergy? I only had the latter on one machine where I needed a replacement, and I hung on to my MX Revo on my work machine for dear life. I don't even use the fixed/loose toggle, I've been an auto-clutch believer since the MX Revo, and the Performance MX was a downgrade in every way. You can do a normal middle-click with the MX Master. The Mark2 doesn't seem to be all that different than the Mark1, aside from the battery life improvement. I've been using the Mark1 of the MX Master (it replaced both a Performance MX on one machine and a MX Revolution on another).
